Dave McGowan

Mr. McGowan is Director of Education for Inland Real Estate School, formerly part of Inland Real Estate Brokerage, Inc. McGowan was managing broker of Inland Real Estate Brokerage’s Oak Brook office for six years and was named Director in 2007. As Director of Education, McGowan expanded the curriculum and increased the school’s offerings, enrollment and locations. With over 30 years of experience as a real estate practitioner and 25 years as a real estate educator, McGowan has taught over 15,000  students. Under his leadership, Inland Real Estate School’s average pass rate for Illinois real estate exams is higher than the state average.

McGowan is also past President of the Northern Illinois Commercial Association of REALTORS®, and former Regional Director of the Real Estate Education Association. He is a member and former director of the Association of Illinois Real Estate Educators.

Richard B. Lewis

Mr. Lewis is a veteran REALTOR® with over 39 years experience in all aspects of real estate including residential, commercial and investment. Lewis possess 35 years of sales and management experience; and for many years has participated in the process of recruiting, training and developing real estate professionals. As a dedicated professional, caring about the industry and the committees he has served, Lewis has maintained membership in the Illinois Association of REALTORS®, the National Association of REALTORS®, and while an honorary member of the Main Street Organization of REALTORS®, he has served as a chairman, on all major committees, the Board of Directors and is also a past president.

Richard Lewis has been teaching and instructing new licensees and continuing education courses since 1985, both as a licensed instructor and trainer in REALTOR® Orientation, Ethics, Professional Standards, and Fair Housing. As a professional committed to education, he brings a vital, knowledgeable perspective to class instruction.
