Illinois Real Estate Brokers and Managing Brokers: Did you know that as of July 1st 2019, you have NEW core and elective Continuing Education requirements?

Here is a breakdown of the new core and electives requirements:

Real Estate Brokers:

Core (Required subjects): 4 hours

Electives: 8 hours

Total: 12 hours

The minimum course duration is 2 hours.

Note: Electives includes a 60-minute training on Sexual Harassment Prevention.

Both the Core and the Sexual Harassment Prevention training will require a course delivery that is interactive. This will include webinars, classes and/or online distance education. There is NO self-paced or self-study option available.

Managing Brokers:

Required to complete what is listed above

Also required to complete a 12-hour broker management Continuing Education Course

Note: This is exactly the same as how your previous license renewal worked (A total of 24 hours of CE).
